The Cradle framework is a first attempt at General Computer Control (GCC). Cradle supports agents to ace any computer task by enabling strong reasoning abilities, self-improvment, and skill curation, in a standardized general environment with minimal requirements.
Uses vision-language models (GPT-4V, Claude) with screenshot-based perception and keyboard/mouse action output, leveraging prompt templates for task inference, information gathering, action planning, and self-reflection across diverse environments. Integrates with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, and Anthropic APIs while supporting extensibility through modular skill registries and environment-specific configurations for games (RDR2, Stardew Valley, Cities: Skylines) and desktop software (Chrome, Outlook, CapCut).
