GeoRetina/Arion
Arion is the first agentic AI desktop app for geospatial analysis, developed by GeoRetina Inc.
Leverages the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to integrate custom server tools alongside built-in geospatial capabilities (MapLibre GL mapping, buffer/feature manipulation), while supporting multiple LLM providers through Vercel AI SDK and local models via Ollama. Knowledge base functionality uses PGlite with pgvector for RAG over ingested documents, with planned agentic workflow support for isolated Python (LangGraph/CrewAI) and TypeScript agent execution orchestrated from the desktop application.
