TGMCP is a Python package that implements the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for Telegram. It allows AI agents to seamlessly interact with Telegram accounts, providing access to messaging, contacts, groups, media sharing, and more.
Built on Telethon's async client library, TGMCP exposes chat, contact, messaging, group, media, and administrative operations as MCP-compliant tools with granular enable/disable controls. It supports both file-based and session-string authentication, enabling deployment across diverse environments including cloud platforms, while maintaining local data handling through direct Telegram API integration.
