Powered by Claude/Gemini/Codex CLIs, Hive automates the full development workflow from requirements to merged PRs by distributing work across a hierarchy of AI agents (Tech Lead, Seniors, Intermediates, Juniors, QA) with complexity-based routing and dependency resolution. The system includes a real-time TUI dashboard, automatic QA spawning with acceptance criteria validation, E2E test sign-off, and a manager daemon handling stuck detection, permission bypasses, and orphan story recovery. It integrates with Jira for two-way epic/story sync and supports multi-repository coordination via git submodules with per-agent worktree isolation.
