Built on Node.js/TypeScript, Rivet executes agent workflows through a modular provider abstraction layer supporting OpenAI, Anthropic, Ollama, and any OpenAI-compatible API. The architecture enforces security via default-deny permissions, sandbox path resolution with TOCTOU protection, and AES-256-GCM encrypted local secret storage, while recording deterministic SHA-256 execution traces for reproducibility and audit. Additional capabilities include parallel tool execution, reflexion-based self-correction, semantic repo indexing via TF-IDF, and a dashboard with run diffing, workflow orchestration, and inline file previews.
