IBM/watsonx-ai-java-sdk
The watsonx.ai Java SDK is an open-source library that simplifies the integration of IBM watsonx.ai APIs into Java applications. It supports chat completions, streaming, tool calling, embeddings, text classification, text extraction, text detection, reranking, and time-series forecasting.
Built on Java 17+ and distributed via Maven Central, the SDK provides fluent builder patterns for service initialization and integrates natively with LangChain4j, Quarkus, and Apache Camel for enterprise-grade AI workflows. It abstracts watsonx.ai's REST APIs through typed service clients (ChatService, EmbeddingsService, etc.) that handle authentication, model selection, and project-scoped API calls to IBM Cloud or on-premises deployments.
