gguillau/Yachay.ai-Tweet-Geolocation-Prediction
This project takes on the goal to improve upon Yachay.ai's infrastructure to train a deep learning model to predict coordinates of individual texts.
This project helps social media analysts and researchers pinpoint the geographic origin of tweets when explicit location data isn't available. You input a tweet's text, and it outputs either an exact geographic coordinate or a broader regional estimate for where the user posted it. This is ideal for anyone studying trends or events tied to specific locations on social media.
No commits in the last 6 months.
Use this if you need to understand the geographic distribution of social media conversations or identify the location of Twitter users based solely on the content of their posts.
Not ideal if you require hyper-accurate, street-level precision for every tweet, or if your primary interest is in platforms other than Twitter.
