Repo for 42 days project to replicate/improve Airbnb's amenity (object) detection pipeline.
Builds on Detectron2 for instance segmentation of household items in rental photos, with data sourced from Open Images and preprocessed into Detectron2-compatible formats. Includes end-to-end pipelines for dataset downloading, model training, and inference, plus a Streamlit-based web application for interactive amenity detection. Experiments tracked via Weights & Biases with comprehensive documentation spanning notebooks, video tutorials, and daily project journals.
