Cinecomic is an automated movie-to-comic generator. Input a video and it generates a comic book for the same complete with a comic style and dialogue bubbles
Leverages OpenAI's Whisper for speech-to-text, GoogLeNet v1 and Deep Summarization Networks for intelligent keyframe extraction, and Dlib for facial detection to position dialogue balloons. The pipeline chains subtitle generation, frame sampling with highlightness scoring, ROI-based panel layout templating, emotion-aware balloon placement, and neural style transfer for cartoonization. Includes Flask backend with Docker support and configurable Whisper model selection for different accuracy/performance tradeoffs.
