A Reddit bot that generates new context-aware comments using Markov chains trained from a set of given users or subreddits comments history.
Implements a complete ETL pipeline using the Pushshift API to batch-download Reddit comments (500 at a time) from specified users or subreddits, then trains variable-order Markov chains on the cleaned data to generate contextually plausible text. Integrates with PRAW for Reddit API interactions and supports multiple input sources—Reddit comments via CSV or arbitrary text files—enabling both standalone generation scripts and an interactive bot that replies to inbox mentions and messages with generated content.
