Implements a local-first RAG system that indexes Zotero libraries and exposes them via MCP protocol to Claude Desktop and other LLM clients, supporting conversational Q&A, web search, and multi-source deep research agents. Uses Ollama for local embeddings and LLM inference, keeping all data and API credentials on-disk with OS keychain integration. Built with a desktop application (transitioning to PyTauri) that handles PDF/plaintext parsing and coordinates between Zotero's local API, the MCP server, and connected AI clients.
