A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for the Internet Archive's Open Library API that enables AI assistants to search for book and author information.
Implements six specialized tools for querying Open Library's API—including book/author search, detailed author profiles, and cover/photo retrieval by multiple identifier types (ISBN, OCLC, LCCN, OLID). Built as a TypeScript MCP server using stdio transport, it integrates directly with Claude Desktop and other MCP-compatible clients through the Model Context Protocol standard. The project includes Docker support and an MCP Inspector for local testing and debugging.
