GitGuardian/ggmcp
MCP server for scanning and remediating hardcoded secrets using GitGuardian’s API. Detect over 500 secret types and prevent credential leaks before code goes public.
Implements the Model Context Protocol (MCP) with stdio transport to integrate GitGuardian's secret detection API directly into AI-powered code editors (Cursor, Claude Desktop, Windsurf, Zed). Beyond scanning, it enables incident management, honeytoken creation for unauthorized access detection, and token revocation—with read-only permissions by default to constrain agent capabilities. Supports both OAuth authentication (with local token caching) and PAT-based auth for CI/CD workflows, and works with GitGuardian SaaS (US/EU) or self-hosted instances.
