Remarq embeds a client-side annotation layer via a single script tag that works on any HTML page, storing structured feedback in a self-hosted PostgreSQL backend with exact text anchors and threaded replies. The REST API exposes comments as machine-readable resources (with OpenAPI 3.0 spec and CLI auto-generation), enabling AI agents to poll for unresolved feedback, perform revisions, and automatically resolve comments without manual interpretation. Built for closed-loop workflows where human reviewers and autonomous agents operate on the same feedback channel — no Google accounts, no copy-pasting into ChatGPT, no proprietary editor lock-in.
