This project provides an Interactive Brokers (IB) API interface using the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Exposes Interactive Brokers' Web API through MCP via Docker containers running the Client Portal Gateway for authentication and an HTTP-based MCP server, avoiding dependencies on the desktop TWS application. Enables account management, reporting, and trading operations through LLM interfaces like VS Code Copilot with automatic session management including heartbeat tickling to prevent timeout. Deliberately uses the official IBKR Web API rather than unofficial TCP/IP bridges, prioritizing cloud-readiness and long-term stability over the lower latency of direct TWS connections.
