The integrated MCP server exposes database operations and service management tools via stdio or HTTP transport, enabling AI assistants (Claude, Cursor, Gemini) to execute SQL queries and manage Postgres services. It proxies a remote documentation server for semantic search across PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB docs, automatically using CLI authentication without additional setup. The CLI supports flexible password storage (keyring/pgpass), hierarchical configuration via environment variables, and outputs query results in table/JSON/YAML formats.
