Smart search engine for all bioinformatics databases worldwide
Uses network programming and NLP algorithms to directly query FTP servers of major bioinformatics databases, enabling simultaneous multi-database searches for files by keyword without browser navigation. Built on Django and PyQt4, it provides both web and desktop GUI interfaces that abstract the complexity of nested directory structures across heterogeneous data repositories. Supports user-defined database connections, allowing researchers to search, filter, and download files from multiple sources centrally rather than accessing each database individually.
