EDDI and EDDiscovery

These are complementary tools for Elite Dangerous that serve different primary functions—EDDI provides voice control and event-driven scripting via text-to-speech integration, while EDDiscovery offers navigation and exploration logging through a 3D star map interface—making them useful together rather than as alternatives.

About EDDI

EDCD/EDDI

Companion application for Elite Dangerous

Processes in-game journal events through a modular monitor-responder architecture to trigger text-to-speech responses, VoiceAttack script integration, and third-party API uploads (EDSM, Inara). Monitors passively track game state changes and external feeds, while responders handle actions ranging from spoken dialogue using Windows TTS to bidirectional data sync with community databases. Supports standalone installation or VoiceAttack plugin deployment with configurable per-module enable/disable toggling.

Captains log and 3d star map for Elite Dangerous

Parses Elite Dangerous game logs and journal files to track exploration data, visited systems, and player statistics across sessions. Provides interactive 2D/3D visualization of the galaxy with filtering and search capabilities integrated with community star databases. Built as a Windows desktop application (.NET-based) that synchronizes with the game's native JSON journal output for real-time captain's log management.
