Implements a modular multi-provider architecture where some providers (OpenAI, xAI, Ultravox, Retell, Gemini) require backend token generation for secure WebSocket connections, while others (ElevenLabs, Vapi) use client-side-only tokens—each with distinct connection patterns (ephemeral tokens, call-based REST, WebRTC via LiveKit or Daily.co). Includes 429+ unit tests, E2E testing with Playwright, automatic WebSocket reconnection with exponential backoff, real-time frequency analysis audio visualization, and comprehensive function calling support across all providers.
