Combines local trigger-word detection (PocketSphinx) and custom GLaDOS text-to-speech synthesis with Google's speech-to-text API, caching generated audio locally for instant responses. Tightly integrates with Home Assistant via REST API, enabling bidirectional control of devices/sensors and receiving notifications as synthesized speech, while supporting hardware extensions like servo-controlled animatronic eyes and addressable RGB lighting via Teensy microcontroller.
